Another year older; I was feeling heavy, tired, and just not feeling good. Cutting down on calories and exercise was not enough. I needed something more.

My daughter told me about this “Ideal Protein” program. I’m thinking, "Great, another food program?"

I met with Tina and realized that this may be a program for me. I tried different diets in that past with no permanent success. Four months later, 40 lbs. lighter and 3 sizes smaller, this is my plan for life and I couldn’t be happier!

How have I been able to maintain my weight?

Let's start at the beginning. My first time at Rosina's waiting to get a facial, I saw a flier that said "Lose Weight Eating Lettuce." My first thought was "Yeah right." A month later, I found myself signing up with Tina on the Ideal Protein (Be Well) program after attending an Open House. My first weigh in was on 8/2/2010. I was 192.4 pounds, a size 14, depressed and felt like a beached whale. It took me a while to lose the weight; my body wouldn't let it go. I finally competed the first three phases getting down to an acceptable weight and went on maintenance. I thought maintenance was going to be hard but it hasn't been. My main motivator has been Tina. She told me that I could do it and if I had any problems to call or text her and believe me, I have. I also have two friends who have been in my corner from day one cheering me on.

Do I eat foods I shouldn't? Sometimes. You should see my food log for what I ate while on vacation! But that's just it - it was vacation. When I got home, I went back on maintenance. Being on the Ideal Protein program and with Tina's expertise and guidance, I know how to eat correctly. Bottom line; I like being a size 10 again. At 51 years old, I'm where I was 11 years ago and it feels and looks good.

I have never been on a diet before. I married Tina and went to an Ideal Protein convention for support. I then became inspired and decided to go on the program. The easiest 23 pounds I had ever lost - and can you believe it only took 3 weeks? I went to the gym 4 years without missing a day while struggling to lose weight. Learning to eat right is what made the difference for my success. Tina has helped me go through the phases to maintain and keep it off!

I reached my goal weight and I couldn't have done it without Ideal Protein or Tina helping me! I have much more energy and feel great about how I look.

Shortly after starting Ideal Protein, a lot of health issues that I had been dealing with disappeared. After a little bit of research, I realized that all of the products I had been choosing were gluten-free. I felt like a new person and was so thankful to figure out what was causing all of my problems. I would never have discovered this on my own.

I think after the new year, I will start Phase 1 again, just to lose a few more pounds, but I am so thankful for this program and how it has changed how I feel about myself and helped me to stumble upon other health issues! I am also grateful for all of the support Tina gave me, and I could not have done it without her by my side.

I deal Protein was the perfect diet for me; I lost 30 pounds in about 3 months and have successfully kept it off for 8 months. The food choices are varied enough that one can find satisfying meals; the program helped me learn to be creative in incorporating more greens into my diet. I lost 73 pounds in 6 ½ months! The results with Ideal Protein are amazing! I had watched my mom and sisters lose the weight. They kept telling me that I should do it. They had told me about people who had been able to get off their medications. I was Diabetic taking Metformin, had high blood pressure, taking two medications, and my doctor wanted me to start medication for high cholesterol. After being on the program for one month I was able to go off all my medications. My average weight loss was 3 – 3 ½ pounds a week. Co-workers would say, "What are you doing? It's like the weight is just melting off." And sometimes it felt like that as I would put on something I had worn just a week before, and it was too big.

I have learned how to make wiser choices (through the four levels of the program), so eating out is not a problem. Most restaurants are more than happy to accommodate your needs, and believe me, it makes me want to go back.

I have more energy, I am off all my medication, I feel great, and get compliments all the time (even from my children). My health and well-being outweigh the cost.
